National Register of Historic Places

Present day Clinton has an amazing number of 17th, 18th and 19th century buildings still standing, which are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, established the National Register of Historic Places and it is administered by the United States Department of Interior’s National Park Service. Clinton currently has two National Register Historic Districts: The Clinton Village Historic District and the High Street Historic District. As more districts and/or individual properties here in Clinton are added to the National Register, they will be posted at this site.
