[ARCHIVED] Clinton Town Council Selects Second Town Manager

Michelle Benivega

The Clinton Town Council has unanimously chosen Michelle Benivegna as its second Town Manager. Michelle's impressive career trajectory in municipal government, including her concurrent roles as Director of Administration and Management, Director of Human Resources, and Economic Development Director, instills confidence in her ability to lead our town.

According to Michelle, "Taking on the role of town manager in the Town of Clinton is an exciting opportunity.  The goal is to work collaboratively with the town council, residents, town departments, and local businesses to fulfill the council's vision. Together, efforts will continue to advance economic development while also striving for the town's overall progress.  Being selected for this role is a privilege, and it is with great enthusiasm that I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. I am ready to get to work, and will always remain committed to encouraging and supporting new, creative ideas for the advancement of this very special community. "

We want to thank Randi of Randi Frank Consulting for her immediate and tireless work on Clinton’s behalf. Randi has worked closely with the Council throughout this process, bringing over 20 candidates to our attention and helping us hone our search to two finalists in early May.

The Town Council Also wants to express our appreciation to our Interim Town Manager, Richard Brown. His leadership and guidance have ensured that this challenging transition has been as seamless as possible. He has not only assisted the Council in passing the budget but also in hiring a much-needed financial director, providing reassurance during this period of change.

Last but not least, Mary Schettino—there are no words to adequately credit her for all the time, work, effort, and thought she put into each and every challenge she faced and overcame. Clinton is truly a better place because of Mary's dedication and heart, making a meaningful difference in our community every day.
