The Town Council hired Randi Frank Consulting LLC to assist with the Town’s national search for a new Town Manager. The consultants carefully reviewed the resumes received based on the position's profile, which was nationally advertised. A total of 22 resumes were received. Ten applicants were asked to complete a questionnaire related to management philosophy as well as Clinton-specific questions, with six candidates selected to move on to a Zoom-recorded screening interview.

The Council met in Executive Session on April 17, 2024, to discuss the interviews and decide which candidates would be invited for an in-person interview at Town Hall. The Consultant completed background checks and reference checks, and the candidates came to Town Hall to meet with department heads and had individual interviews with the full Town Council on May 3rd, 2024.

The Town Council has selected two candidates for a second interview on May 22, 2024. The two candidates will also be available to meet with the residents of Clinton at 6pm for a Meet and Greet opportunity in the Green Room of Town Hall (54 East Main Street) on May 16, 2024. The council encourages all interested residents to attend the Meet and Greet.
