Embracing Community Through Senior ConnectionAs a new service in town, Clinton Senior Connection will foster a supportive and interactive climate for all residents over the age of 55. Existing and newly created programs will be a source of recreation, socialization, education, and/or simply community-building fun for seniors to participate in!

The part-time program coordinator is responsible for the coordination and communication of these programs and will collaborate with existing senior service providers to maximize benefits for seniors residing in the Clinton community.

Meet Clinton’s Senior Program Coordinator - Christina Acampora

A resident of Clinton for over a decade, Christina grew up in Hamden, Connecticut, and attended Fairfield University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications. In the years since, Christina has worked as a marketing coordinator at AAA, a freelance journalist, a creative Ad copywriter in southern CT and for the past 17 years has worked for a New Haven law firm developing meaningful marketing pieces, managing press and public relations, planning both large-scale and intimate events, and serving as liaison in the community with local non-profits. While enjoying her active role in a diverse city, Christina was also seeking more roots in town, where she and her husband, Rob, raise their two children. Stepping up as a senior program coordinator for Clinton is a certainly a welcome fit.

When not working, caring for her children, Lucia and Gabe, or walking her beloved sidekick, Lola, Christina enjoys serving on the Boards of the Henry Carter Hull Library as well as the New Haven Road Race. She absolutely loves living on the shoreline and holds the many connections that she’s made with people in Clinton very dear. Bringing a rich background of planning and ideas to her new role as senior program coordinator is an exciting journey that she feels lucky to embark on. Christina’s objective in developing a robust program is to assist all seniors of varying age and activity to fully embrace the community that they are part of by making connections with those around them and having fun in the process.
