Come be a part of the future of Clinton. This is
the website for the planning effort concentrated on
the “West End” of Route 1 (West Main Street).
The study area is bound on the north by the New
York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad tracks; on the
east by John Street, Extension, which is the western
edge of the Downtown Revitalization Study; to the
south by Stevens Road, the abandoned trolley right
of way and Hayden’s creek; and to the west by the
Hammonasset River, which forms the town boarder with
Madison.
Your participation is encouraged!! The Planning
Committee of the Planning and Zoning Commission has
regularly scheduled meetings on the third Monday of
every month. In order to keep the process moving
special meetings have, and will be scheduled
in-between the regular dates. Please check the
