About the Department
The Clinton Social Services Department provides services to all town residents including:
single men and women
  • Disabled
  • Elderly
  • Families
  • Homeless
  • Students in need of assistance for a variety of reasons
  • Veterans
Available Services
Clients are assessed to determine the appropriate action, i.e., completion of applications (including, but not limited to) the following services:
  • Campership programs for children
  • Medicare Savings Plan (MSP)
  • SNAP (Food Stamps)
  • Head Start
  • Husky (healthcare) for children
  • Medicaid (Title 19)
  • Saga (State General Assistance)
  • Soldiers', Sailors', and Marines' Fund
  • Special needs of seniors 60 and over through the Muir Trust, an account established through a bequest by a Clinton resident
  • Veterans benefits
  • Energy Assistance
  • Renter's Tax Relief Program (Rent Rebate)
  • Emergency Assistance (Salvation Army, Homelessness Prevention Fund, etc.)
